ACS Golf Warriors Win 3rd Straight State Championship
ACS golfers repeat as state champions (Times-News)
Alamance Christian School won its third consecutive North Carolina Christian School Association boys' golf state tournament Tuesday.
Senior Jacob Hicks, who has signed with East carolina, won the individual honors with a 2-under-par 70 at Neuse Golf club. Hicks and teamate Hutson Chandler, who shot a 75, were named all-state first team.
Luca Bernacchi shot 83 and was named to the all-state second team. Kevin Avery rounded out the Warriors' scoring with a 92.
ACS's team score of 320 edged Gospel Light's 356.
The Warrior's championship is the third straight and fifth in the past six years.
