Alamance Christian School Varsity Boys Basketball team prevailed Saturday, February 20th in the final of the North Carolina Christian School Association 3A State Tournament. This year's record was the best in school's 41 year history.
ACS won its second state title in 3 years as it defeated host Gospel Light 61-55 in overtime on Saturday afternoon in the final game of the NCCSA tournament.
Highlights were a clutch 3 pointer by Blake Marley and the late game free throw shooting of Will Shepherd and Brandyn Burns. The schools best 25 - 2 season!
Coach Jerry Bailey commented, "Along with the fact that this team possesed some great athletes, they genuinely loved and cared for each other which in my mind is the secret of their success.
