In a school-wide effort, students and parents raised $3,000 as a gift to the Long Family who are now in Israel as missionaries. Mrs. Long worked here at ACS last year as a substitute and volunteer. The 8th Grade class raised the most money and the K5 Class came in second-highest in funds raised.
Students in K5 participated in gathering and preparation of care packages for three soldiers and their teammates. They packed a total of 18 boxes to be a blessing to these men and their teammates. Pictures in the gallery show students with the goodies gathered, baking and decorating cookies, and a class picture with some of the boxes they prepared. What a blessing these students in Mrs. Lynch's class are being to these USA Soldiers.
Gifting for Alamance County Community Services Toiletry Drive - ACS has had the privilege for the 3rd year in a row of giving items to help with the toiletry drive conducted by the Alamance County Community Services. Our items along with others are used to make gift bags that are given to the dear folks who attend the county senior centers in the area. Often these gift bags are the only Christmas gifts these folks receive. What a blessing to be able to share the joys of Christmas in such tangible way. Thank you to the families who contributed to the gift drive.
