Does ACS have any elementary sports teams? We enter some teams into the City League in both boys and girls soccer.
At what grade do competitive sports begin? Usually students in 7th grade and up are eligible to play on our interscholastic teams. What chance would my child have to play on a sports team? A very good chance if he/she shows a strong desire and work ethic. Since our numbers are small compared to a public school, there are not as many competing for the few spots on the teams.
What are you trying to accomplish through your sports program? Our goal is to develop character through the discipline of practice and competition. Often the heat of games brings out the best or worst in us which then can be shaped by a spiritually minded coach. All of our activities are designed to mold godly character.

What kind of activities do you offer in Fine Arts? Students are able to become involved in speech, singing, band, and art on both the elementary and high school levels.
Do they compete in fine arts? Our school is involved in the North Carolina Christian School Association which hosts competitions in fine arts. Our students have consistently won awards in each of these categories.
Do you have a Drama department? Yes, we put on a full length play every fall at the Paramount Theatre in Burlington.Can my child take private music lessons on campus? We offer students piano lessons at this time. We would like to offer other instrumental lessons in the future.Do you have art classes? Every student in preschool and elementary takes art. High school students are given the option.
