LIFE STORY

I was born and raised in Northwestern Pennsylvania and received my B.S. in Elementary Education and a minor in music. I also took numerous graduate courses from Clarion State University in Clarion, PA. I returned to my alma mater to teach first grade for nearly 10 years, during which time I married Michael. When our children were born, I left professional teaching to be a fulltime teacher to my two most important and precious students. In 1990, the Lord called Mike into fulltime ministry and we moved to Columbia, SC where he spent five years in preparation at Columbia International University. There I did 15 hours of Bible Survey Courses at the Seminary. During our years in Columbia, our children, Gabriel and Abigail spent several years at a Christian school and we homeschooled during third and fourth grade. In 1995, we moved to Burlington, NC where Michael is on staff at Beacon Baptist Church as Associate Pastor. I have been teaching fulltime at Alamance Christian School since the fall of 2003, first as an elementary classroom teacher and now as the elementary music teacher.  Our two children, Gabriel and Abigail, are graduates of Alamance Christian School and were well prepared for their university experiences.
