Parent Communication

Parents who stay connected to their child's school are well informed and supportive of their child in his/her activities and academic endeavors.  Alamance Christian School provides several means by which parents can stay connected.

Yes, your school's website!  It contains a plethora of information that tells prospective parents what ACS is offering in education for their child.  It gives a means for current parents to find information to help them in their day-to-day support of their child's activities and the school in general.  It is also a repository of pictures and information on activities in which the students are involved - whether they involve academic, fine arts, or athletic programs.

InfoDirect

ACS utilizes InfoDirect as a tool to communicate with students and parents.  Realizing that parental involvement is a vital part of a child's education, InfoDirect makes it easy to get the information you need to help your child excel.  Parents are able to access information with a special password from any internet connection and view such things as the gradebook, homework, calendar of events, athletics, lunch menus, and the family financial account.  It also provides parents with an easy email system for direct communication with the teachers.  With InfoDirect you can always be in the know.

SchoolCast

Every family will be enrolled in SchoolCast which has the ability to notify all parents very quickly using phones, fax machines, email, pages, and PDAs.  Emergency and time sensitive information can be relayed to the parents within moments of activating the system.  Reminders and special announcements are relayed to parents efficiently and effectively.
