Grammar Reminders

•  Limit the use of “I"
•  Start phrases with a verb, if possible
•  Be consistent with verbs and punctuation
•  All headings should be consistently followed by a colon or not
•  Spell check and read for content

Formatting Checklist
 

•  No birth date or social security number
•  Include an objective in a targeted resume
•  Try to keep to one page
•  Margins should be 1 to 1.25 inches all around
•  Use 12 point type
•  Use good paper – white or off white
•  Leave out  negative comments
•  Be honest
•  Proofread carefully
