Governor’s Page Program

The Governor’s Page Program is a year round program established in 1973 to provide opportunities for high school students to spend a week in Raleigh to learn the roles and functions of state government.  Students must be between 15 and 18 years of age.  For an application and more information please call the Page Coordinator at 1800-820-4483

Teen Court

Teen Court is a program designed to teach first-offenders accountability for their actions.  Defendants who admit their guilt are sentenced by a jury of their peers (trained student volunteers between the ages of 12 and 18), without acquiring a Juvenile Court Record.  Teenagers also perform the duties of prosecuting and defense attorneys, court clerk and baliff.

Summer Ventures in Science and Mathematics

SVSM is a four-week program that is cost free to those students who are seriously interested in science and math.  Each applicant must submit their academic record and application by January 31, 2007.  The application along with more details about this summer opportunity can be accessed at www.summerventures.org.
