The Governor’s Page Program is a year round program established in 1973 to provide opportunities for high school students to spend a week in Raleigh to learn the roles and functions of state government. Teen Court is a program designed to teach first-offenders accountability for their actions. Defendants who admit their guilt are sentenced by a jury of their peers (trained student volunteers between the ages of 12 and 18), without acquiring a Juvenile Court Record. Teenagers also perform the duties of prosecuting and defense attorneys, court clerk and baliff.
