In 1969 concerned parents and pastors began Alamance Christian School in the facilities of Greenway Park Baptist Church with 110 students in grades one through eight. A grade was added each year thereafter until ACS graduated its first senior class in 1974. In the fall of 1971, 275 students began the school year in new building located on Townbranch Road - our permanent home on 19 acres of land. In 1976, the chapel/home economics building was added, and a new day care building was completed for the 1977-78 school year. In 2022 through a partnership with Integrity Church, a Burlington campus was opened to accommodate the enrollment demand.

We are a diverse community of Jesus' disciples who strive for excellence in everything we do. From scholarship to the arts to athletics, we equip our students to impact the world for Christ through a Biblical worldview.

ACS is a community Christian school assisting Christian families through excellent academics, arts and athletics from a Biblical world view in a nurturing environment so that all students might reach their God-given potential.

Spiritually: ACS believes that in order for our students to to live their lives for Christ it is imperative that they have a strong, Biblical Worldview to guide them through life. ACS teaches the Bible as the inspired, infallible Word of God and strives to teach its basic doctrines and how their assimilation and application relate to a Biblical Worldview.

Academically: ACS strives to foster an Academic environment that is conducive to the success of each student. ACS provides a liberal arts education with a Biblical Worldview that meets or exceeds state requirements, as well as admission requirements for state, private, and Christian universities. 

Socially: ACS challenges each student to be willing to serve others for God's glory. ACS teaches students to have a Biblical Worldview of life and relationships in the home, workplace, and community. ACS partners with local Churches of like faith to make a positive impact, for Christ, in our community.

• The Bible is inspired by God, infallible, and inerrant. The only authoritative rule of our faith and practice

• Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, was crucified, buried and rose again for the justification of our sins and will return visibly and bodily with power and great glory.

• Man is by nature and practice a sinner separated from God and can become God's child only by faith in Jesus Christ and submission to the will of God as revealed in the Gospel

• Those who are thus born into God's family have eternal life, and those who are not remain in spiritual death and will be separated from God forever in Hell.

• The Holy Spirit lives in the believer and enables him to walk in purity of life and submission to the will of God.

• The spiritual unity of the believers is in our Lord Jesus Christ.
