The Alamance Christian golf team won the 2023 State Championship at Mill Creek Golf Course in Mebane, NC on Tuesday, May 9th. The team shot 343 to outdistance second place Tabernacle Hickory by 20 strokes. The team was led by top ten finishes from Holden Yakola (4th), Trevor Fowler (T6), Garrett Brown (T10) and Owen Anderson (T10). Other members of the team include Tristan Bellman, Levi Beck and Braeden Kidd.
“Extremely proud of the boys and how they played not only today but all season,” said Coach Scott Yakola.
The marks the ninth State Championship in the program’s history.
