Alamance Christian School is excited to announce the receipt of our fifth legacy donation of the 2025-2026 school year—a generous gift exceeding $10,000. These contributions are the lifeblood of our Legacy Team, a dedicated group of individuals, local businesses, and members of the alumni community who recognize the vital role of Christian education. They see the growth happening across our campuses and stepped forward to ensure our mission is sustained and strengthened for years to come.
Why is this support more critical now than ever before? Simply, we have reached a pivotal moment where our demand has outpaced our spatial resources. Last school year, ACS was forced to turn away 58 families; so far this year, an additional 35 families have been told there is no room.
"Saying 'no' to families is devastating," says Mike Loflin, the ACS Head of School. "We recognize that during their formative years, children spend more time at school than anywhere else. Our goal is to ensure that time is spent in an environment built on a Biblical worldview."
This is a "good problem" to have, but it is a heartbreaking one nonetheless. We are paying attention because every "no" given to a family is a missed opportunity to partner with them in the spiritual formation of their child. However, this surge in interest points to something incredibly hopeful: a revival in the desire for Christian education.
It is a beautiful trend to see many families actively seeking a learning environment rooted in a Biblical worldview. This hunger for truth and Gospel-focused schooling is a positive sign for our community's future. We are not just building classrooms because we are responding to a spiritual momentum that suggests families are prioritizing their children's faith more than ever.
This is where the power of legacy giving transforms our vision into reality.
These gifts created quick results with immediate improvements and, now, are focusing on transportation needs. Giving to the school’s short-term projects builds capacity and allows leadership to keep the long-term need of expansion as a priority.
Are you interested in joining the Legacy Team by giving to the school, praying for us daily, and sharing the school with others?
In choosing to become a part of the Legacy Team, you are helping us turn "no" into "yes" for many families. To learn more about how you can partner with us in this growth, please contact our Director of Advancement, Joel Medley, at jmedley@alamancechristianschool.org.
