Our Hunter Safety Team competed against more than 40 other schools in the district competition this past Saturday. The event was filled with competition, companionship, and demonstrations of Christ-like character.
The archery team was just nine points short of a top-three finish, which would have qualified them for the state competition. Ty Boswell shot a perfect score in archery and was the district's top shooter. He will be moving on to the state competition.
Ty and Eli Brunson also shot a perfect score in the shotgun competition. This was a personal best for Eli. They went into a tough doubles competition to determine the top shooter in shotgun, but came up short.
Congratulations to both of them, and the rest of the team. Spots will be available for next year. If you are a rising 7th grader or above and want to know more about Hunter Safety, then ask Mr. D for details!
