Alamance Christian School is proud to announce that three of our standout student-athletes have officially committed to compete at the collegiate level. Their dedication in the classroom and on the court has paved the way for this exciting next chapter.
For ACS, it's another historic first! We have never had 3 student-athletes commit to playing at next level in a single year. So, once again, the 2026 senior class continues establish records athletically just like they have done academically (the largest collect college scholarship total at more than $1.6 million).
Holden — Golf, Guilford College
Holden is taking his talents to the fairways and greens of Guilford College. Known for his consistent performance and leadership on the field, he has been a cornerstone of several athletic programs with golf being his passion and drive to the future.
Coach’s Perspective: He is described as a leader by the way he constantly checked on other players to encourage them when rounds may not be going as they had hoped.
A Lesson Learned: Challenged by his coach, who happens to be his dad, he learned and now lives by the mantra: "No matter how good you think you are or what you have accomplished, you just have to keep getting better."
Faith at the Center: Holden finds his roadmap in Romans 12:1-2, striving to be "transformed by the renewing of his mind" as he enters this new academic and athletic environment.
Maci — Volleyball, Greensboro College
Maci is headed to join the Pride family at Greensboro College. Drawn to the strong sense of community within the team, Maci is eager to push her athletic boundaries while staying healthy and focused.
While at ACS, she was always the first in the gym and a consistent encourager. She never failed to work with younger athletes or those who may not have her skill. For her athletic ability and Christ-like character, she served as the team captain for 2 years.
Coach’s Perspective: Coach Joe Bailey describes her as an incredible hitter with an uncanny knack for court positioning.
A Lesson Learned: Maci credits Coach Bailey with teaching her that "even if you don't get the results you want, the effort and leadership are always worth it."
Faith at the Center: Leaning on Proverbs 3:5-6, Maci notes that God patiently guided her through a season of frustrating setbacks and big decisions.
Selah — Basketball, Averett University
Selah, after playing 5 years of varsity basketball here, is ready to make new memories on the hardwood at Averett University. While she admits that balancing the demands of college life will push her out of her comfort zone, she is ready for the challenge. She was drawn to their motto of “develop as an athlete, grow as a person.”
Coach’s Perspective: Coach Paul Burns calls Selah "relentless"—a trait she displays on offense, defense, and every single practice.
A Lesson Learned: She said the most impactful lesson from Coach Burns was simple but profound: "You have to work for what you want because it will never just be handed to you."
Faith at the Center: Selah finds her strength in Romans 8:18 as she prepares for the journey ahead.
Congratulations to Holden, Maci, and Selah! We look forward to cheering you on as you carry the Warrior Legacy to the next level.
