For every Warrior who takes the field or the court, the goal is not merely a perishable crown of trophies and titles, but the pursuit of an imperishable crown—a spiritual growth that honors Christ above all else. Currently, we offer the following sports:
- Fall - soccer (boys), volleyball, and cross-country (boys and girls)
- Winter - basketball (girls and boys) and Hunter Safety Team
- Spring - soccer (girls), baseball, and golf
The training grounds of ACS athletics prepare our student-athletes for success far beyond high school. This unwavering focus on competitive character and a Biblical worldview is why dozens of Warriors have successfully transitioned to the next level of collegiate play.
This dedication to God-given effort has created a culture of achievement at ACS. Our history is marked by unparalleled success, including winning 46 state championships—a record that stands as the most in the North Carolina Christian School Association (NCCSA). However, we constantly remind our teams that winning in life matters even more than winning the game. We view these championship banners not just as trophies, but as a testament to the grit, leadership, and resilience we teach our athletes as they prepare to serve Christ.

While we celebrate every victory on the court and field, we are exceptionally proud of the Sportsmanship Awards our school has earned. These prestigious honors are granted by the North Carolina Christian School Athletic Association (NCCSAA) and are determined by a vote of athletic directors and coaches across the state at the conclusion of each season.
This award process began in 2000 and was named in honor of J. Eddie Blalock, a beloved, long-time basketball coach at ACS who faithfully led our students until he passed away from cancer.
The fact that our collective teams have received the Eddie J. Blalock Sportsmanship Award 16 times in the last 26 years is a testament to our community's standard. It proves that a Biblical worldview is not just taught in our classrooms—it defines how we compete, how we honor our opponents, and how we represent Christ through the "Warrior Way."
