Your generosity is a turning point at Alamance Christian School.
We believe that every gift is a seed planted in the soil of eternity. While tuition covers the basics of our educational program, your giving allows us to "Raise the Standard"—investing in the people, places, and programs that move us from good to great.
By partnering with us, you are equipping the next generation of Warriors to lead a World Transformed for Christ.
A Local Partnership, A Global Result
We are here to help you maximize your kingdom impact. Whether you are interested in a one-time gift, a monthly commitment, or a complex estate plan, our team is ready to assist you in finding the best path for your family.
One of the easiest ways to invest in eternity is through a Life Insurance Beneficiary. Naming Alamance Christian School as a beneficiary or partial beneficiary allows you to leverage a policy you may no longer need for its original purpose to create a lasting legacy for students. The designation process is simple — contact your life insurance provider and follow their change of beneficiary process.
The three tabs below will offer you additional insights in how to give to support Alamance Christian School.

Donating appreciated securities (stocks, bonds, or mutual funds) is a highly effective way to give. By gifting stock directly to ACS, you can receive a significant tax deduction while avoiding capital gains taxes. That means that Alamance Christian receives the full market value of the assets, and you do the same for tax purposes. This method of giving is simple, efficient, and highly effective.
How to Initiate a Transfer: We have created a help document that you can follow step-by-step. Giving Stock to ACS

If you are 70½ or older, you can make a significant impact through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA. This allows you to give directly to ACS, satisfying your required minimum distribution while reducing your taxable income. It is a "tax-smart" way to invest in our students.

We believe every member of the ACS family should have a plan for their legacy. Including our school in your will is one of the simplest ways to ensure your impact reaches far beyond your lifetime. While this may not help the school in the short-term, your long-term focus is one that ensures the ministry continues for the glory of God.
- Wills & Bequests: You can designate assets, a specific dollar amount, real property (e.g., home, land, automobile), or a percentage of your estate to ACS.
- Life Insurance: As mentioned above, you can specifically name the school as a beneficiary or partial beneficiary.
We have created a document that offers several things to consider and provides suggested language. Estate Giving
Obviously, a will is a legal document and you should consult an attorney accordingly. ACS has partnered with ACS alumnus Brandon Ector at the Ector Law Firm. If you have specific questions about donating to ACS through a will, please contact him by phone (336-570-2211) or by email - office@ectorlawfirm.com.

For donors considering larger gifts, there are two planning strategies that offer significant tax advantages while maximizing your kingdom impact. Below are brief descriptions of each; and if you want more information, we are glad to connect you with advisors (including ACS alumni) who share our values.
Donor Advised Funds (DAFs)
A Donor Advised Fund is one of the most flexible and tax-efficient ways to give. You contribute cash or appreciated assets to a sponsoring organization (such as Fidelity Charitable or Schwab Charitable), receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants to ACS over time. This is especially powerful in a high-income year — you can fund the DAF now and direct gifts to the school on your own timeline.
DAFs are ideal for gifts of $10,000 or more and can be funded with cash, stock, or other appreciated assets.
Charitable Remainder Trusts (CRTs)
A Charitable Remainder Trust allows you to transfer appreciated assets into an irrevocable trust, receive income for life or a set number of years, and designate Alamance Christian School as the ultimate beneficiary. You avoid capital gains taxes on the transfer and receive a partial charitable deduction upfront — while the school receives a meaningful gift at the conclusion of the trust.
CRTs are best suited for significant assets and involve legal and financial professionals in the setup. We are glad to connect you with advisors who share our values.
Charitable Lead Trusts (CLTs)
While similar to the CRT mentioned above, it differs slightly. A donor transfers assets into an irrevocable trust. For a set term of years (or sometimes a lifetime), the school receives regular payments, which is an annual income stream. At the end of the term, whatever remains in the trust can pass to the donor's chosen beneficiaries.
How is this beneficial to the donor? Simply, it depends on the structure of the trust that is chosen. The benefits could include the donor receiving an upfront charitable income tax deduction for the present value of the payments going to the school and, later on, could include a significant reduction in estate taxes of whatever passes to heirs or beneficiaries.
