At Alamance Christian School, spiritual life is not a separate department—it is the heartbeat of everything we do. Our mission is to partner with the home and the church to move beyond head knowledge, fostering a deep-seated love for Christ and a Biblical worldview that informs every decision.
The Daily Walk: Biblical Foundation
- Biblical Integration: Age-appropriate Bible classes meet multiple times a week for all students (K–12). These sessions go beyond stories to focus on the firm foundations of Scripture and, most importantly, its practical application in a student's daily life.
- Weekly Chapel: Our students gather once a week on Tuesdays to worship and hear from God’s Word. These intentional times of corporate worship allow students to pause their academic schedule and refocus on their primary purpose. However, this service does not replace the Bible class that day. All middle school students receive Biblical instruction every day of the week.
- Discipleship-First Discipline: We believe that character is forged in moments of correction. When students meet with the Dean of Students, the focus remains on what God’s Word says about their actions. We prioritize heart-change over mere behavior modification, knowing that a life aligned with Scripture lasts far longer than any demerit system.
The Annual Journey: Shared Experiences
- MS/HS Spiritual Retreat: Every year begins with our Middle and High School students and faculty heading off-campus for a dedicated retreat. Through shared meals, team games, and intensive Bible study, we build a "Warrior" community that is unified in Christ before the first major exams ever begin.
- The Christian Heritage Award: The pinnacle of our spiritual recognition occurs at graduation. This honor is voted upon by the faculty and bestowed upon a senior who has left a lasting legacy of Christian testimony, school spirit, academic excellence, and spiritual leadership. It is the highest standard of what it means to be an ACS graduate.
